SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – Construction
Wakefield – WF4
£60k + base salary
First Choice Recruitment are looking to recruit a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our successful client based in Wakefield WF4.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a long established but ever growing business, who are one of the leaders in their field.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gross Margin in line with budgets
Customer satisfaction is key
Health and Safety and environmental policies are complied with Quality Assurance 9001 compliance
Payments are made within Contracted Terms
All order processing meets defined dates and as agreed at the start meeting
Sub Contract orders are competitively negotiated and placed along with relevant terms and conditions
Terms and Conditions including payment terms are agreed with the client and confirmed
Departmental liaison and deadlines are met throughout the Company
Budgets are set for each constituent part of the project and managed within
Ensure that site organisation takes due account of Health and Safety arrangements.
Ensure that Welfare facilities are suitable and cleansed to an acceptable standard.
Know what statutory regulations relate to the works in question.
Maintain the relevant statutory registers; complete as and when the regulations demand.
Issue instructions for safe working methods to be adopted.
Where necessary, issue written working method instructions.
Ensure that where activities on site are subject to statutory assessments and recording, that such assessments are made and kept properly recorded (i.e. COSHH, Noise, Asbestos etc.)
Ensure that trades foremen and supervisors are aware of their obligations under the policy.
Make arrangements for the safe delivery, handling and stacking of materials and plant.
Ensure that First Aid cover is available at all times. If absent from site, appoint a suitably competent person to act as 'person to take charge’.
Make sure that first aid equipment is maintained up to required standard and that it is readily available at all times.
Work within purchase / sub-contract and budget levels as determined by the Director
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
DESIREABLE
Professional Qualification in a Construction related discipline
Minimum 5 years experience of delivering projects
Knowledge of NEC and JCT Contracts
Degree Level
ESSENTIAL
Construction related experience as project manager or project Co-Ordinator.
Knowledge of modular or offsite construction methods
Experience working with main contractors and being no.1 point of contact

Company car or and allowance of £5k
Bonus paid quarterly if targets are met
Based in WF4 Office – You will be expected to travel to wherever the project is situated – which can be national.
